Contributor Policy
This Policy governs all contributions to Verolex by attorneys, employers, recruiters, law schools, associations, publications, and students. It ensures integrity, neutrality, non-confidentiality, and proper scope across every submission.
Purpose of This Policy
To establish clear rules for content accuracy, ethical boundaries, review rights, and the structured integration of contributor insights into Verolex.
1. Eligibility
- Active attorneys or former attorneys with verifiable practice experience
- Employers or hiring personnel authorized to describe roles
- Recruiters with verifiable legal-market training or tenure
- Law school placement or career services professionals
- Professional legal associations
- Accredited legal publications and journalists
- Students in JD, LLM, or pre-law programs
2. Allowed Contributions
- Practice insights, narratives, or experience summaries
- Hiring criteria, role expectations, or training structures
- Market trends, compensation patterns, or cycle timing
- Academic readiness indicators, outcome data, career insights
- Research summaries, statistical reports, standards, or ethics frameworks
- Published articles, editorials, or commentary
3. Prohibited Content
- Client names, confidential details, or privileged information
- Unverified claims or speculative statements presented as fact
- Content that could constitute legal advice
- Defamatory or disparaging material
- Proprietary firm documents without permission
- Sensitive data about identifiable individuals
4. Editorial & Review Rights
All submissions undergo structural, ethical, and clarity review.
Verolex editors may:
- Request revisions or clarifications
- Decline submissions that violate standards
- Redact sensitive content
- Annotate limits, jurisdiction, or context
- Assign topic tags for retrieval and AI alignment
5. Integration Into Verolex
Once approved, contributions are:
- Given a version ID
- Mapped to metadata and scope tags
- Added to the Contributor Ledger
- Made available to VCV/VVC retrieval (where allowed)
- Indexed for alignment, TalentScout scoring, or developmental guidance
6. Contributor Rights
- Attribution in the Contributor Ledger (name or alias)
- Right to withdraw contributions with notice
- Right to limit scope (e.g. jurisdiction, practice area)
- Right to exclude certain applications (e.g. employer ranking)
7. Compliance & Enforcement
VSS (Verolex Security & Standards) may intervene when:
- Content violates confidentiality or ethics
- Contributor misrepresents experience
- Submission contains prohibited content
- Material appears unsafe or unsuitable
