Law School Upload — Students & Career Services
Use this panel for individual student submissions and career services batch uploads. Materials are used to generate structured alignment insights and optional recruiter-ready briefs. Keep all documents text-based and redacted.
Upload up to five files (PDF/DOCX/TXT/MD). Required (students): Résumé, Career Goals (1 page), and an Experience Summary (clinics/externships/research/moot/journal).
Optional: one Writing Sample (5–12 pages) and one Artifact (clinic memo, journal note excerpt, competition brief, project summary).
Important: Only text-based files are supported. Scanned or image-only PDFs are not readable. If your PDF is a scan (no selectable text), run OCR or export a fresh PDF before uploading.
Redact client names, IDs, and sensitive terms. For clinic or externship matters, describe parties generically (e.g., “regional hospital,” “mid-market SaaS company”). See the redaction checklist.
Optimize your submission
- Use recent work (last 2–3 years or current program highlights).
- Experience Summary: role, setting (clinic/externship/research/journal/moot/competition), skills exercised, tools (e.g., Westlaw, Relativity), scale/exposure (ranges), dates/term.
- Career Goals: target practice(s) or sectors, preferred geographies, timing (e.g., “Summer 2026”), and constraints (bar timing, visa, schedule).
- Writing Sample: 5–12 pages with a 2–3 line cover note (context, your contribution, date).
- File names:
Lastname_Firstname_School_Resume_YYYYMM.pdf, Lastname_Firstname_School_WritingSample_Title.pdf.
- Remove personal data you don’t want shared (phone, street address) and strip document metadata before upload.
For Career Services (Batch Upload)
- Bundle per-student files in a single ZIP or upload individually. Use folders or prefixes:
Lastname_Firstname_School/….
- Optional roster (CSV):
first_name,last_name,email,grad_year,practice_interest,markets,consent_flag.
- Confirm FERPA-aligned consent for any rostered data. Keep PII minimal in filenames.
- Designate a faculty/staff contact for verification notes.
Originals stay in the account; extracted text is only searchable within your materials. Nothing is shared outside Verolex unless you request a recruiter or employer review. Deletion is available on request.
