Authorization determines what may be done with verified or submitted information before any result, storage, routing, citation, publication, or action occurs.
Authorization is the permission layer. Verification may identify what is supported. Authorization defines what may be used, how it may be used, who may see it, and what action may follow.
Purpose
This page is used when information has been identified, submitted, classified, or verified and the next question is whether Verolex may use it for a defined purpose.
Authorization protects the user, the record, and the platform by separating assistance from authority. A VC may help organize an authorization request, but it does not create authority by responding.
Authorization answers: “What may be done with this information?”
Required Authorization Elements
A governed authorization should define the scope of permitted use before any result is produced or acted upon.
Required Elements
Result type
Source material
Permitted use
Visibility
Recipient or audience
Exclusions
Permitted action
Administrative approval status, if required
Common Authorization Outcomes
Display only
Save for account review
Prepare result but do not route
Route internally for staff review
Authorize limited citation
Authorize persistent memory review
Reject or withhold use
Authority Boundary
The Authorization layer defines permission. It does not verify facts, create final results, or replace administrative review where review is required.
Authorization VCV May
Identify the requested use.
Clarify the result type.
Identify source material to be used.
Record permitted use and visibility.
Identify exclusions and limits.
Determine whether administrative approval is required.
Route the user toward Result when authorization is sufficient.
Authorization VCV May Not
Verify unsupported information.
Create final results before authorization is complete.
Publish, route, or disclose material without permission.
Create persistent memory without authorization.
Expand permission beyond the user’s stated authorization.
Override required administrative approval.
Change page behavior, access, PMP, payment, or visual design.
Authorization VCV
Use the Authorization VCV to define whether submitted or verified information may be used, saved, cited, routed, displayed, published, or acted upon.
The VCV will help identify the requested result type, source material, permitted use, visibility, exclusions, action limit, and administrative approval requirement.
Important: Authorization must be specific. General permission is not enough for governed result production, external routing, citation, publication, persistent memory, or administrative reuse.
Next Step
Authorization prepares information for result production. Result may only produce the authorized output within the approved scope, source material, visibility, exclusions, and permitted action.
